Over the years, many pen-pal relationships have begun as a result of HHV’s Pen Pal Correspondence Program.
Through this program, GI’s and veterans are reminded that our nation appreciates them and their tremendous sacrifices.
If you would like to form a pen-pal relationship with a veteran, you may contact HHV for a list of veterans who have requested a pen-pal. Please do understand that there is no guarantee you will receive a response, but your caring words sent in cards or letters will be appreciated by the military veteran patient(s) that receive them.
Pen-pal relationships generally form when a donor receives a thank-you postcard from a veteran patient who received a therapeutic arts & crafts kit in their name. Through the years HHV has been informed time and again how appreciative both donors and veterans are for providing them with this wonderfully personalized communication line.
