Veterans Assistance & Awareness

Help Hospitalized Veterans’ method of reaching millions of American citizens about its programs and sponsorships is accomplished primarily through its direct mail campaigns.

This outreach to the American public serves many purposes and functions. Not only do the mailings seek financial support for its arts & crafts and other programs and sponsorships provided to hospitalized veterans, they ask the public to become more involved by volunteering at VA and military hospitals, and to become a pen-pal* with a hospitalized veteran, which is a significant way of showing concern and care.

The direct mail also educates the public through the use of authorized photos and information received from veteran patients, their families, clinicians and administrators about the effect products and services provided by HHV have on a veteran when used as a treatment tool.

*Pen-Pal relationships generally form when a donor receives a thank-you postcard from a veteran patient who received a therapeutic arts & crafts kit in their name. Through the years HHV has been informed time and again how appreciative both donors and veterans are for providing them with this wonderfully personalized communication line.
